The purpose of the Richmond Parks & Recreation baseball and softball league is for the participants to have fun and to learn the fundamental skills of baseball and softball as well as working towards the following goals: learning teamwork, building self-esteem, teaching social and physical skills, creating a fun experience for youth, teaching decision making, responsibility, leadership, and respect for authority, as well as other character traits.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: MARCH 13, 2025
Registration Fee: 1 child-85.00 (each additional child in household in the TRI-CO 14U League -$80.00)
Late entry forms will be accepted until teams are full after deadline (please call the P&R office).
Late entry fee (after registration deadline): an additional $15.00/ child (no multi-child discount)

*must be 11, 12, 13, or 14 years of age on or before 4/30/2025 to be eligible for the 14U 2025 season.

*must be 15, 16, 17, or 18 years of age on or before 4/30/2025 to be eligible for the 18U 2025 season.
                                   
  DIVISIONS: 
14U Softball (Girls), 14U Baseball (Boys), 18U Softball (Girls), 18U Baseball (Boys)
  •  Hosting towns involved are Richmond, Braymer, Chillicothe, Hamilton, Hardin, Polo, Ludlow,  and possibly other towns.  Regular season games will be week days (typically 6pm or 7:45pm)  First Game: May (pending weather). Season will wrap up before the 4th of July. 
  • The League will have a post season tournament. Locations & bracket TBA. 
  • If you are selected to be a coach, the Parks & Recreation Department will contact you on or before draft date. Drafts & Coaches meeting will be: 14U- March 20 at 5:30pm. 18U*March 20 at 6:00pm.  Location TBA.
  • Coaches will call parents after March 20 with more information regarding practices and when they start.
