The purpose of the Richmond Parks & Recreation T-Ball, Coach Pitch, and Machine Pitch Ball leagues is for the participants to have fun and to learn the fundamental skills of baseball and softball as well as working towards the following goals: learning teamwork, building self-esteem, teaching social and physical skills, creating a fun experience for youth, teaching decision making, responsibility, leadership, and respect for authority, as well as other character traits.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: APRIL 7, 2025
Late entry forms will be accepted until teams are full after deadline (please call the P&R office).
Late entry fee (after registration deadline): an additional $15.00/ child (no multi-child discount)
                                 
  DIVISIONS: 
T-Ball (Co-ed): offered to children 4 or 5 years of age. The age is based on how old the child is on 4/30/25 or 4 years on or before 6/1/25 (no exceptions to minimum age).

Coach Pitch (Co-ed): offered to children 6 or 7 years of age. The age is based on how old the child is on 4/30/25.

Machine Pitch Softball (Girls): offered to girls, 8, 9, or 10 years of age. The age is based on how old the child is on 4/30/25.

Machine Pitch Baseball (Boys): offered to boys, 8, 9, or 10 years of age. The age is based on hold old the child is on 4/30/25.
  •  Hosting towns involved for Coach Pitch and Machine Pitch are Richmond, Hardin, Orrick, and possibly other towns.
  • T-ball will play games in Richmond only. 
  • Machine Pitch and Coach Pitch regular season games will be scheduled week days (typical start times between 5:15pm-8:30pm). First Game: week of May 27 (pending weather). Season will wrap up around the 4th of July. 
  • T-ball will be scheduled 6 games and play games on Saturday, 7, 14, 21, & 28; as well as two week day games in the month on June.  Game Schedule TBA. 
  • If you are selected to be a coach, the Parks & Recreation Department will contact you on or before draft date. Drafts & Coaches meeting will be: MPG & MPB- April 24 at 5:30pm. Coach Pitch April 24 at 6:30pm, and T-ball April 29 at 5:30pm.   Location TBA.
  • Coaches will call parents after 1-3 days after drafts with more information regarding practices and when they start.
