2026 Pooch Pool Party

Event Rules

• ALL DOGS MUST BRING PROOF OF CURRENT VACCINATIONS. Proof must be presented on the day of the event.
• Dogs must be 6 months of age or older.
• NO AGGRESSIVE DOGS. Dogs displaying aggressive or unsafe behavior may be required to leave the event.
• Dogs must remain under the control and supervision of their owner/handler at all times.
• No more than one dog per person.
• Children ages 8–16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian age 18 or older.
• Admission: The $20 registration fee includes admission for one dog and one person. All additional people entering the facility must purchase a $7 spectator pass. Everyone entering the facility must have paid admission.
• This event is for dogs to swim.
• No human swimming is permitted.
• Participants may wade into the pool up to their knees to assist or supervise their dog.
• Participants must follow all instructions given by Southview Pool and City of Richmond Parks & Recreation staff.
• Owners/handlers are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs.
• Owners/handlers are responsible for their dog's behavior and for preventing their dog from injuring another person or animal.
• No Dogs in heat.
